Senior Back End Developer

We are looking for experienced backend developers, driven by evolving their craftsmanship and working with a young, fast-paced, environment of developers. You will be part of our backend team with responsibilities of developing various types of micro-services, establishing CI / CD pipelines and performing zero downtime deployments to clusters of docker / Kubernetes environments. You will put forward your ideas based on solid experience and knowledge of current best practices to help shape solutions that customers enjoy and appreciate. When you discover emerging gaps or opportunities to improve, you work with our product teams to add or refine features. You will work with teams in Norway, Europe and beyond, but your location is flexible. You will have a relevant degree or rock-solid experience to convince us you don’t need one.

• You understand the big picture of your teams project and are able to empower others to help them reach their KPIs within that picture
• Participate in product development to help the team choose optimal solutions to customer challenges
• Write clean C# code to contribute to our code base

Department, Supervisor & Reports

Reporting to the CTO, you will work with a small but growing team of 10 developers and product managers. You will have no direct reports, but will collaborate closely with your colleagues on the product team. Our business culture is flat and supportive.

Skills & Qualification

• Leading a small team with courtesy and respect
• Able to write clean C# code based on .NET 6 or newer
• Being experienced with Staging Event-Driven Architecture in conjunction with following supportive patterns:
  • SOLID
  • CQRS
• Experience on implementing business by applying DDD
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure & AWS)
• Experience with micro-services architecture

You will be working with the following tools in our Tech Stack. A desire to learn and use them is necessary:

• OpenSearchAzure Service Bus
• Azure Storage
• Docker orchestration using Kubernetes

Big Bonus points if you:

• have experience as software consultant
• have experience in leading software teams
• Advanced architecture knowledge and experience
• Have experience working with water, hydrology systems, data science
